Kokedama, or moss ball in English, is a beautiful way to display a plant. If you’ve ever wanted to make your own kokedama but didn’t like the look of a plain-looking moss ball or a ball wrapped in twine, this modern-looking twist on kokedama will definitely get on your DIY Project list! Order the planter in your favorite color (or contact us for a custom color!). When you receive it, line it in sheet moss, add dirt and a plant, and display where you like!
This can be displayed on a desk, counter, windowsill or other flat surface, but be careful! This is a rounded design, so it can roll if it is bumped; it’s best to put it in a place where it won’t be nudged or jostled. UPDATE: We have created a kokedama holder that looks like elkhorn coral. This holder is for the medium-sized kokedama – take a look here!
The holes in this kokedama design lend to a variety of hanging options. Add twine, fishing line, or rope in whichever configuration you like to display it as a hanging planter indoors.
What about maintenance? Spray water onto your moss to keep it green. To water your plant, you can either spray the root ball heavily or water/soak in a sink, tub or shower.
AIR PLANT DISPLAY
These voronoi air plant holders can show off your favorite air plant! Or flip it over, and tie a length of Spanish Moss to the inside of the planter. Make a knot with your string, and you’ve made your own Spanish Moss Jellyfish! Hang wherever you like – hanging is best for Spanish Moss so it can dry and grow healthily!
These planters are 3D printed with biodegradable, plant-based plastic. Our method of printing puts down layers of thin plastic; in this design you will be able to see the layers and “waves” of plastic 🙂
I love PrintApot pots … the ones I have had for years look just as good as the brand new ones. Great product and service.
These are so great for my rhipsalis and as alway Print A Pot customer service was outstanding. The new turquoise and yellow Kokedama planters look great with my older white planters that continue to look great.
Kokedama planters perfect for my lepismium and once again Print A Pot customer service was great! The new turquoise and yellow planters look great with the white ones purchased previously – which are holding up beautifully on my Southern California patio.
Another lovely planter from Print A Pot! The new Kokedama are a great home for my forest cactus – and look great on my patio with the white planters I already had that are holding up well to outdoor use. Customer service again terrific.
Love the new planter for our front desk! It is very unique and stunning with our white orchid. My only critique would be if you want to set it on a counter it is very hard to get it balanced to stand up and it is easily knocked over because there is no flat surface on the bottom. It makes sense if you are hanging it… you wouldn’t want a flat spot. Maybe offer a small 3 legged stand that could be an additional item if you want set it on a counter??
May want to check out our Kokedama Stand, which was designed for for this reason. Here’s a link to our Etsy listing with the product: Kokedama Holder
